All rotating equipment have bores for bearings, seals, and couplings. At some point during the life span of this equipment, bores will be subject to wear. Whether it be a bearing failure, product seep or lack of maintenance. Two of the main techniques to repair these bores are sleeving or welding. Machining and welding is the best way to restore equipment to correct specifications without weakening the component. We have invested in the latest automatic bore welding equipment to assist us in these types of repairs.

Our automatic bore welding equipment works hand in hand with our in line boring equipment, to repair components as quickly as possible. We can prep, weld and machine with the minimum amount of tooling changes. The welding deposit is uniform and easily machined when compared to hand welding, and due to the design of the equipment we can weld bores where conventional hand welding cannot reach.
